Week 12 Start & Sit is here! Our week started with Thanksgiving Thursday football. Here at TGIS Football, the Thursday breakdowns cover start & sit options for that game.
If you are wondering about a player that has an injury designation, check out my injury report for week 12 that drops every Saturday. It is a second week 12 start & sit but for injured players. Please note that obvious stars such as Christian McCaffrey, Cooper Kupp and Patrick Mahomes are not going to be featured in these articles.

Carson Wentz took until week 12 start & sit to be featured in it. Wentz has been playing well. The problem is, he hasn’t needed to do much besides hand the ball to Jonathan Taylor in the last few games. The Tampa Bay defense is the best at defending the run so this might be where Coach Frank Reich dials up a few nice screens passes for Jonathan Taylor and a few deep shots for star wideout Michael Pittman Jr.
Noah Fant
The Chargers defense is good on outside receivers. When it comes to the run and tight ends, that is a different story. LA has given up a league-leading nine touchdowns to tight ends this season. Fant has a nice floor and manages to score every few weeks which is just about all I would ask for in a fantasy tight end.
Van Jefferson
With no Robert Woods, I see Jefferson as that true replacement in the offense. He is smooth on routes, has good speed and has sure hands (most of the time). I expect OBJ to take over a lot of deep routes like we saw with Sammy Watkins and Brandon Cooks in previous seasons. This leaves Jefferson as the stick mover. He can still beat you deep, as we have seen in the previous games.
Jaylen Waddle
Waddle has been the best Dolphins offensive player in the last few games. He finally got a score last game to cap off his day and finished as a respectable WR17 last week. Being the only good wide receiver on the team could work against him this week against Carolina, but the Dolphins have nobody else besides him and tight end Mike Gesiki on the offense at this time.
Elijah Moore
Elijah Moore has been on quite the hot streak recently. He has done this with two backup quarterbacks and a little bit of garbage time at the beginning of this streak. Now that fellow rookie Zach Wilson has had some time to watch and learn while recovering from his injury, Moore could help your fantasy team make a championship run at just the right time.
He is the best player on this team and has even received a few carries out of the backfield and scored one. He gets Houston this week coming off their biggest win of the year, leaving Moore the chance to bring them back down to Earth.
Javonte Williams
Back to how bad the Chargers defense can be, here we are with another rookie player. Javonte Willliams continues to play well in tandem with Melvin Gordon out of the backfield. Williams is still leading the league in forced missed tackles and is in a position to run all over this Chargers team at home. Gordon might get the headlines because of the “revenge game” factor, but he left that team more than a year ago. Williams had a touchdown and another big run called back against the Eagles because of offensive holding.

A.J. Brown is OUT. The Patriot’s defense is playing at a championship level I do not like this for a second. Tannehill is coming off a horrible four-interception performance against a Houston team that had not won since week one. The Texans defense is better than even I give them credit for but damn. Tannehill has his tight ends and D’Onta Foreman. There is no Julio, Marcus Johnson, and possibly Brown as well.
Miles Sanders
Jalen Hurts might be Sander’s biggest flaw. The backfield carries were split almost evenly. Sanders got 16, Jordan Howard got 10 and Boston Scott got six. Hurts took 18, though. They collectively ran over the Saints front last week. This is a full-blown committee that can be unpredictable with so many rushing options within the offense. If Jordan Howard sits this week because of his knee injury, I would strongly consider changing course and actually playing Sanders.
Tee Higgins
Higgins is in the conversation for one of the most disappointing players this season. He has missed two games but has been the WR3 on his own team. He has yet to crack 100 yards in a game and has not scored since week two. He is still on a potent offense and can return to form at any time, but right now it doesn’t look great after Cincinnati ran the ball 30 times with Joe Mixon alone against the Raiders.
Tyler Higbee
With three awesome receivers ahead of him in the pecking order, Higbee has not had the year many fantasy managers had thought he would, me included. He has not received more than five targets in a game yet this season. There are just better options that could still be available on the waiver wire such as C.J. Uzomah, Pat Freiermuth, or Tyler Conklin who have higher ceilings and more target shares.
This is an outstanding website. Clearly your mom and dad, especially your dad, raised you right ! Not sure how you got so good at fantasy foootball but I think you will be really good for a long time to come. I bet your dad is good too… haha
