Playoff time is getting closer. Week 12 waiver wire pickups & drops is here to guide us through some important transactions as we near the end of the season.  These are some players that have a relatively high availability and possess massive upside for the upcoming week 12 games. Let’s dive in!

Rhamondre Stevenson

After being featured in last week’s waiver wire pickups & drops, Stevenson is still available in about 40% of leagues. He carried the ball well against a helpless Atlanta team even in a timeshare with Damien Harris. This keeps him in flex territory for an upcoming date with the Titans, who just got embarrassed by the Houston Texans.

Cedric Wilson/Michael Gallup

The Cowboys are coming off of a miserable showing against the Chiefs and now have a short week against the Raiders on Thanksgiving. Dallas on the other hand, will be without Amari Cooper and possibly even CeeDee Lamb. This opens the door for Gallup and Wilson to get unprecedented volume against a suspect Raiders secondary. Even if Lamb ends up playing, picking up one of these guys is a great insurance play for your roster.

Matt Brieda

It has taken Brieda all of two games with 12 touches to show he is already better than Zack Moss and Devin Singletary. The only problem is, if he gets more touches, then Brieda is certain to get hurt just like he always did in San Francisco. His volume is not enough to start him just yet, but I know a lot of deep leagues where he could be a valuable stash and potentially a league winner. All we would need is a few good games out of him.

Elijah Moore

This looks to be the breakout everyone has been waiting for. Moore had a true breakout game against Miami. The last couple of weeks, it was mostly garbage time stats in blowout games. Moore has established himself even with a backup quarterback playing. He also managed to run routes on over 80% of Joe Flacco’s dropbacks. He is the best wide receiver on the team that is throwing the ball a lot every game because they are always trailing late. This is exactly the type of player we come across late in the season that could propel your team through the playoffs.

Week 12 Waiver Wire Drops:

D’Ernest Johnson

Johnson is worth the stash if you can keep a spot open for him. He has proven to be one of the most valuable handcuffs in the game. If something were to happen to Nick Chubb or Kareem Hunt again, he is an automatic RB. The downside is that Hunt is expected back soon and both players will have a late season bye week to rest up even more.

Corey Davis

With the emergence of Elijah Moore, Davis’s early season shine has officially worn off. I have no faith in any type of consistency from Corey Davis at this point in the season and is not startable in any format. The floor is just too low for me and there is not nearly enough upside like there is with Moore.

Jamal Williams

D’Andre Swift has officially taken this backfield and ran away with it. It should have been like that all season, though. He will serve mostly as a backup and/or change of pace back. Williams also is going to be one of the more valuable handcuffs as well.

Cole Beasley

Beasley’s role in the offense has always been low ceiling. It doesn’t help that Buffalo’s offense has been struggling as well. His role is sporadic and he really only has value in deeper leagues. If I wanted a second or third option on this offense, I would rather go with Emmanual Sanders.
