Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups:
Embed from Getty ImagesThe week 10 waiver wire pickups and drops are here. Most of these players are available in 50% of leagues or just less than that. At the least, they can bolster your team’s depth and even provide a spot start with a good upside in a bye-week pinch.
Donovan Peoples-Jones (87% available)
Though the volume is not quite there yet, DPJ is getting the deep shots within this offense. He is worth a roster spot and maybe even a spot start during a bye-week pinch. I would certainly play DPJ over Robby Anderson right now if I am looking for a deep ball touchdown.
Tim Patrick (75% available)
Tim Patrick has been steady as can be for the Denver Broncos this season. He is very quietly been a WR2 (#24 overall) in half-point PPR scoring. There are less consistent and underperforming players that are most rostered than Patrick right now. He can be a multi-use flex play or even a weekly starter if injuries have taken their toll on your roster.
Matt Ryan (44% available)
After a dismal two-week stretch, Matty Ice is back. He played lights out against a very good New Orleans defense on the road. Kyle Pitts and Cordarrelle Patterson continue to get better within the offense and it seems they have begun to find a groove. All of this without star wideout Calvin Ridley too.
Rashod Bateman (64% available)
Bateman got off to a slow start due to a groin injury. There were several missed deep throws that would have made this game his official breakout. Get ahead of the curve and grab Bateman before you have to rely on your waiver priority to get him.
Brandon Aiyuk (39% available)
Could this finally be the Brandon AIyuk we thought we would get? It certainly is a good sign. He is a prime candidate for a second-half surge as he is working his way back into coach Kyle Shanahan’s good graces. He has to put some trust in Aiyuk at some point if they want to make a run at the playoffs in a tough division.
Stash: Jamal Agnew (90% available)
This is a guy who I noticed a few weeks back. We are at the point now where Agnew gets better volume than his teammate Laviska Shenault Jr. Some leagues have return yards counted so Agnew can provide a big boost to his weekly value. He isn’t worth a spot start yet but for sure worth the stash as he continues to build chemistry with Trevor Lawrence.
Roster Drops:
Leviska Shenault Jr.
Shenault was hyped to be a target hog within this offense as the main safety net. He has been far from that so far and has yet to find the endzone or post a 100-yard game (though he did have 99 against the Bengals). It seems Jamal Agnew is a more featured part of this unpredictable offense.
